Match the tier to the worst plausible incident. • No personal data, no internet-facing services, no email: Business Security may suffice — but reconsider in 12 months

• Handles personal data, payment data, or healthcare records: Enterprise minimum (GDPR Art. 32 will be cited if you go cheaper)
• NIS2 essential or important entity: XDR / Secure Extra, ideally with MDR. Auditors increasingly treat anything less as non-compliant
• Multi-tenant MSP: XDR is mandatory — you need cross-customer correlation and the partner-tier consoles
